Chlamydia is the most common bacterial sexually transmitted infection (STI) in the United Kingdom.  The majority of people infected with Chlamydia have NO symptoms.

Because the Chlamydia bacteria can live inside the cells of the cervix, urethra, rectum, throat and eyes the infection can be passed on through vaginal, anal or oral sex, and sharing sex toys if they are not washed or covered with a condom each time they are used.  It is also possible for a pregnant woman to pass Chlamydia on to her baby during childbirth.
